ECO BIOX MBBR automatic wastewater treatment plants are designed and built for the biological treatment of wastewater in compliance with Legislative Decree 152/06 (Environmental Regulations) and subsequent amendments and additions.

They are biological systems constructed with certified monolithic tanks in Self-Compacting Reinforced Concrete (SCC) and employ a biological purification process using a bonded mass activated sludge and a hybrid fluidized bed MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor), with combined nitro-denitrogen action.

MBBR reactors consist of tanks (biological reactors) in which microorganisms grow on support media dispersed and suspended in the wastewater being treated.

The biofilm that forms on these supports depends on the associated organic load. to the incoming wastewater. Unlike other attached biomass processes, the supports in this case are free to move and therefore do not maintain fixed positions either relative to each other or to the reactor.

ECO BIOX MBBRs consist of an oxidation, sedimentation, and disinfection section, and, except for those discharged to the public sewer system, a tertiary refinement section.

This system is managed automatically, requiring minimal intervention by the operators; It is characterized by flexibility, flexibility of use, longevity, and the use of advanced and proven technologies, combined with generous sizing capable of meeting particularly demanding purification needs that vary in quality and quantity over time.
